We received excellent service from this hospital. My wife called for an appointment and explained her medical problem in the morning. The staff person promised to call back. Within a couple of hours she actually did call back with a same-day appointment. This was already better service than we often get in the U.S.! She had researched which physician would be best for my wife's problem and set up the appointment accordingly. When we arrived at the hospital we received prompt and polite service (in English) and waited only a few minutes before seeing the doctor. We were completely satisfied with the entire experience.
There has been some confusion evident in other reviews about this hospital's service. As a private hospital in Italy, it has no emergency services. So you cannot expect immediate emergency treatment if you arrive with a medical problem. Secondly, the hospital could not accept our American medical insurance; we had to pay up front and request reimbursement from our insurer on our own. I expect this is typical for Americans visiting a private Italian hospital. The charge for our visit was less than half what we would have paid in the U.S.!
