Their accident and emergency (A&E) department is not the best place to take children. Took my infant daughter for a respiratory infection and was referred to a paediatrician as there was none available on site. I had also taken my son there for a mosquito bite which lead to swelling and redness on the skin near his eyes the next day. Having worked in healthcare, I was concerned about the possibility of cellulitis and whether he needed antibiotics. I brought up my concern to the emergency room physician. He stated it did “not look red enough” to be cellulitis and to apply a steroid cream to the site. I asked if he needed oral antibiotics, he said “no.” Well, the next day, the swelling was even worse. I took him to KKH and he was diagnosed with periorbital cellulitis! We had to follow up with an ophthalmologist to make sure the infection did not progress to his eyes. After a course of antibiotics, the swelling and redness has thankfully resolved.

Not able to book a maternity tour due to the restriction of COVID 19. Called the hotline, the person asked why is there a need to do the tour... I replied, at least I need to know where to go when I’m on labour. She replied just walk through the main door... What customer service is this, I had only been to Blk A for my gyne appointment, don’t even know where is the main entrance! Understand many hospital had make to a point to let their patients do the tour first and rejected those that are not booked with them. Seem like mount a is not doing anything to help their patient. This round, had not choice but to give birth there... I swear I’m not going to that hospital after this birth!

A very fat malay lady(counter no.5) said that I must get my wife's signature immediately even though my wife just came out from the operating room and in bad condition for admin. This is the worst service that I got in my life.

Had eye surgery done yesterday at Mount E Orchard. After operation rested in day surgery ward. Very kind and helpful nurses. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a call from one of the nurses the next day asking me whether I had indeed seen the eye specialist that morning and whether I was alright and recovering and to call them if there were any problems. Thank you Mount Elizabeth for having such caring nurses.

Dr Val Phua and team were very efficient and communicative throughout the entire process. Had a great experience and felt very comfortable. Minimal discomfort after the operation apart from some dryness in the eyes. By the day after the review I was pretty much fully functional with only slight haziness.

Highly recommend Dr Desmond Quek. He’s friendly, professional and very good at what he does. He did cataract surgery for my mum which went very well and she’s very happy with her newfound clear vision. He also did Lasik for a few of my friends which went great. Thanks Dr Desmond and the entire team at Eagle Eye Center!

Over crowded as early as 9am. Overall nice experience. Dr Julian Theng make sure that you feel relax and comfortable throughout. It’s only first day after surgery and my eyes have recovered. Not any discomfort at all. Not much dryness. Worth the money. Have been wearing lenses and spects for the past 14 years, suddenly couldn’t get used to it not wearing anything yet can see so clearly. 👍🏻

Lack of information. Eye specialist claimed all good despite I told him my vision has changed noticeably. During the visit - no information given what tests are for. No info on what might happen after trauma to eye. Now it turns out that I have eye cataract- simple as that - which may develop fast in case of eye injury. So I have been bothered with reduced vision and been concerned and nervous.The eye specialist at Eagle Eye was in this case useless and did not even bother to give proper info - almost arrogant which was the reason why I did not go back there

I agree with the previous comment; avoid Eagle Eye, and in particular the branch at Parkway East. I've been there 4 times, to see the same specialist (whom I shall not name here), and all 4 times, he wasn't interested in what I had to say, was dismissive and didn't have the patience nor courtesy to explain things clearly. Whether it's intentional or not, or that he is socially awkward, isn't the point - as a doctor, the basic responsibility is to treat your patient with respect and have the decency to provide clear explanations and options. He was more interested in getting me out the door quickly, or have me do Lasik, a procedure not covered by insurance. In the last encounter, he didn't have the patience to explain the options for cataracts and was more interested in running off for his special lunch appointment with DBS Privileged Banking.

Had a horrible and infuriating encounter with Dr Alicia during my chalazion eye infection last year that wouldn’t go away. My eyes are extremely sensitive, so even flipping the eyelid to touch and squeeze the oil glands in the eyelid made me feel very nauseous and sick. When I was dizzy and visibly uncomfortable, Dr Alicia said, “don’t be so drama” to me. I was shocked and insulted. How can a doctor who I’m trusting with my health, say that to a her patient who is obviously suffering and literally paying for this appointment. Very rude and unprofessional.Even during my eye surgery to drain the pus from my eye infection, she was unempathetic to the anxiety and stress I was going through and did nothing to help me feel better.The only good thing about Doctor Alicia Eye Specialist clinic is the staff and assistants at the front desk. They were kind and patient and had way more empathy than Doctor Alicia during the whole ordeal. But still never returning there again.

Worst hospital in Singapore. This is first I had bad experience in Singapore. They have charged me 150 SGD for 2 min. I went for fish bone stuck in my throat instead of looking into throat docter suggesting specialist to me. They charged 150 SGD for no pain relief. Really unprofessional peolle. Please please don't visit this hospital.

Worst place to visit if you want a decent service that has some speed. 3 nurses were working , 2 of them were doing paperwork and picking up phone calls, and 1 walk around pretending to be busy , I was there to do a simple blood test and they made me wait an hour, an yet still nothing happens. Worst still there were 7 patients behind me and everyone was waiting like a fool

Very poor communication towards patient and attendant when we went there in emergency. I went with my husband as he was feeling very uneasy and was unable to sit or walk, I went there at emergency and they made us wait for more than an hour. The doctor then finally saw him and said I can’t tell you anything, either get admitted we will do all tests or take medicines and go home. As a patient we asked him what will be better, how serious is it, he said I can’t tell you, you have to decide, unless you get admitted I can’t say anything. He absolutely told us nothing and in less than 2mins said go wait outside when we said we will take medicines. We again waited for more than an hr just to take those meds, he wrote and do the payment. However the nurse that communicated what medicines to take was nice but the doctor don’t really help us. The communication, compassion, any advice from doctors side was not that great.

If you are used to the kind of service at Mt E, then this place would be a great disappointment. To begin, service at registration feels very transactional, staff were not very friendly/welcoming. There were not butler who would direct you to the ward from the level 2 service desk. Had to do a second admission paperwork once we reach the level 10 inpatient wards. Staff at this registration was also not smiling/welcoming. Room lacked basic things like coffee and tea. Nurses are ok but not the most attentive. They forgot about our lunch and only served 1.5h later (after we asked). 2 stars for the relatively new facilities and pleasant environment (view from the ward is great).
